Wicked Lovely *Review*

Wicked Lovely
By: Melissa Marr

Product Description:

Rule #3: Don't stare at invisible faeries.

Aislinn has always seen faeries. Powerful and dangerous, they walk hidden in mortal world. Aislinn fears their cruelty—especially if they learn of her Sight—and wishes she were as blind to their presence as other teens.

Rule #2: Don't speak to invisible faeries.

Now faeries are stalking her. One of them, Keenan, who is equal parts terrifying and alluring, is trying to talk to her, asking questions Aislinn is afraid to answer.

Rule #1: Don't ever attract their attention.

But it's too late. Keenan is the Summer King who has sought his queen for nine centuries. Without her, summer itself will perish. He is determined that Aislinn will become the Summer Queen at any cost—regardless of her plans or desires.

Suddenly none of the rules that have kept Aislinn safe are working anymore, and everything is on the line: her freedom; her best friend, Seth; her life; everything.

Well, I wanted to give fairy books a try and I must say I'm not impressed or happy with this book. It's told in third person and I must say I don't like the writing that much at all. After seeing the pretty cover and the summary I really wanted to like this book, but I just couldn't.

When I started reading this book I had read mixed reviews and must say I lean more towards the negative reviews. At first I just had an ok opinion of the main heroine. Later on in the story I became annoyed with her, even more then Bella in Breaking Dawn :p Her main love interest just seemed too perfect to me and I know there are guys out there like that, but I'm sorry I just couldn't get into it.

The fairies were well described and I loved the other main male character Keenan and the other main female Donia. I wish they had more scenes in the story, they were the only reason I kept reading.

Overall Rating: 4/10
Half the characters are good the other half not so much.... Basically not a book that I'd recommend.
